The name
Empathy meets athletic.
Empathletic
em·path·let·ic | adjective
Combining empathy, the genuine understanding of another person’s experience, with athletic, the pursuit of physical capability and wellbeing. The belief that you cannot build a body without first understanding a mind.
Dion builds every program around the way you think, feel, process, and move, because exercise is easier to stick with when it fits you.
Your neurology shapes how you experience exercise. Empathletic treats that as information. That information is used to set goals and build confidence in exercise and athletics.
Built around you
Every session is designed for your sensory profile, communication style, and goals, and adjusted as you go.
Consistency over intensity
Steady routines tend to last longer than big bursts of effort. Dion helps you build habits that fit your life.
Communication your way
Visual cues, written instructions, verbal coaching, or a mix. Dion matches the way you receive information best.
Shame-free environment
No judgment. No pressure. No “pushing through” what doesn’t work for you. Progress looks different for everyone, and you define what success means for you.

The process
How Dion works with you.
Every person is different, so every plan is too. Here’s what working with Dion actually looks like.
A relaxed conversation (by phone, video, or even over text if that’s easier) to understand where you’re coming from and what you want.
02
Deep-dive assessment
A thorough intake that goes well beyond the physical. Dion explores your sensory preferences, communication style, energy patterns, previous experiences with exercise, and what you actually want to feel like or be able to do.
03
A program built around you and your goals
Dion builds your program from scratch, selecting exercises, formats, and progressions that work with your brain, not against it.
04
Sessions that flex in real time
Every session starts with a quick check-in. If today is a high-sensory day, an anxious day, or just a different day, the plan adjusts. There’s no rigid structure that overrides how you actually feel.
05
Ongoing feedback and open communication
Dion checks in between sessions. What’s working? What isn’t? What do you need more or less of? The program is a living thing, always evolving with you.
empathy in motion.

A human behind the movement
Hi, I’m Dion. I get it.
I founded Empathletic because I know, first-hand, that standard fitness spaces aren’t built with neurodiverse people in mind. As someone who is neurodivergent myself, I have experienced the overwhelm and mixed messages of gym environments, the frustration of instructions that didn’t land, and the feeling that my body and mind were working against each other rather than together.
I have worked as a fencing coach for 5 years, working with a plethora of neurotypical and neurodiverse children. I enjoy working with children, but I also know that many neurodivergent adults enjoy exercise and body movement. I have worked with people 1-on-1 as a direct support professional in my day-to-day and they have shared the barriers to finding a stable place or activity that they can enjoy, afford, and continue doing.
I channel all of that into Empathletic: a practice built on the conviction that movement is for every mind, and that the right support can unlock things people didn’t believe were possible for them.

Inclusive by design
Empathletic was built to be accessible from day one.
Designed for your brain
Built around how you experience the world.
Neurodiversity takes many forms. Dion has experience working with people across the full spectrum. Here’s how Empathletic responds.
Autism
Predictable session structures, sensory-aware environments, clear and literal communication, and consistent routines you can rely on.
ADHD
Varied, engaging movement to hold attention. Short-cycle goal setting to achieve long-term goals, immediate feedback, and flexible momentum. Stopping when needed is a strategy, not a failure.
Dyspraxia / DCD
Patient, broken-down movement instruction. Extra time to process and practice. No pressure to match speed or style. Strength and confidence built through repetition and encouragement.
Dyslexia
Programs delivered visually and verbally, never just written text. Clear, jargon-free language. All materials available in formats that work for you.
Intellectual developmental disability
Sessions as short as 30 minutes or as long as 1 hour, paced to suit you. Visual cues and modeling are used throughout.
Co-occurring conditions
Anxiety, sensory processing differences, chronic fatigue: Dion works holistically, understanding that neurodiversity rarely comes alone. If you need a break, we take a break. All Dion asks is that you restart.
You belong here. No diagnosis needed.
Multiple, unlabeled, exploring, or simply looking for a different approach: you’re welcome just as you are. Sessions are open to all ages, from children and teens to adults. If you want to learn how to work out and follow a program, Dion can help create and facilitate it. If you want support through weight loss or weight gain, Dion is there to help (Dion is not a nutritionist, however).
Our commitment
Accessible in every sense.
Empathletic is designed to remove barriers (physical, sensory, and social) at every step.
Advance information
Session plans shared in advance whenever possible, so you know what to expect.
Sensory options
Lighting, music, and noise levels adapted to your preferences where possible. Just ask.
Visual instructions
Exercises demonstrated in person, with visual guides available for many of them, not just verbal cues.
No time pressure
Processing takes as long as it takes. Dion never rushes you through explanation or movement.
Your communication style
Contact by call, text, email, or written form, whatever feels most comfortable.
Flexible locations
Familiar or specially chosen spaces: your home, a recreation gym, a quiet fencing gym, or outside.
Flexible exercises and sports
Learn a sport you’re curious about or want to try again, like tennis, soccer, volleyball, or basketball.
Your first step can be a conversation
A little curious? That’s enough.
The first conversation is completely free, with no commitment, and you can have it however works best for you: call, video, or written message.
